Get your child's first coding adventure started this Spring!
***Please note: we have an Early Bird discount of £50 for our May half-term camps which is already added to the price (discount expires on 13th May)!***
Classes are held from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday or Tuesday - Friday
In this course, we introduce your child to logical reasoning and coding concepts. Through a series of fun and educational logic games and coding exercises, your child will learn about coding and robotics while also developing their STEM skills. We introduce Mini Coders to the basic idea of robotics, getting them to make basic circuits and use motors with LEGO WeDo. Yes, they will get to create their very own robots!
Your child will also develop their programming skills using Scratch Jr, an introductory programming language that enables young children to create their own stories and games. We will make fun games and animations, exploring their creative side as well!
Basic ICT skills and introductory computing concepts are an important first step for children to be able to grasp the concepts which will be taught in school with the new National Computing Curriculum. In one week, your child will learn more than most kids do during the whole school year. Plus, they will get to make new friends and have fun building robots and solving coding problems!
All equipment will be provided!
Achievements and outcomes
Our teachers will actively record your child’s work throughout the camp and share it with you through ClassDojo - a private social app which allows you to see photos of your child’s work, be involved in your child’s progress, and message the teachers directly if you have any questions. The children will also receive a certificate of completion on the final day.
We will also send you a report card updating you on your child's progress after camp.
