Touch typing leads to computer confidence

Touch typing and computer confidence
We’ve realized that one factor in computer confidence (and getting children comfortable with coding) is familiarity with the keyboard.
Not only does touch typing lead to computer confidence, but it’s an important life skill. Children use computers all the time, but without understanding correct finger placement will experience frustration and will develop ‘hunt and peck’ habits that will have to be unlearned.
For this reason, we are starting a touch typing and coding class this October half term and we’re really excited about it!
We will run a 4 day camp wherein we will have children both learning to touch type and create their own typing games in Scratch (and perhaps more complex environments for older children).
We’ll also have a lot of fun. Join us this half term for an empowering and exciting class!
